More updates and an upcoming match in Wyoming.
My Fix rifles are both up and running.
The 6.5CM Fix is back from Q. It is supposed to be my one and only match rifle for NRL Hunter and whatever local PRS style matches I end up shooting. Then it developed a feeding issue, so I had to shift gears.
Now, it is back and I can return to "original programming".
The 6.5Creedmoor is set up as an Open Heavy rifle for NRL Hunter. As configured, it clocks in at 15 pounds 10 ounces..

The nice thing about starting with something as light as the Fix is that I can add a lot of stuff to it and still be under 16lbs. It is also pretty easy tog et balanced the right way.
The 308Win Fix is also up and running. As I suspected the sear in the bolt had to be replaced. This one is mostly a hunting rifle, but I have used it in a couple of matches too. I have it configured as an Open Light rifle, but with a scope swap it becomes a nice hunting setup.
In the Open Light configuration (below), it is just under 11lbs. When I swap the scope to the lighter TT315M https://alnk.to/9mqvzJN , it drops down to almost exactly 10lbs with no other changes.
Q Fix with 308Win 24" CF Proof barrel.

MTN Gear Ultralight bipod (about to be re-introduced as MDT Mountain bipod)
LST Vertical grip https://www.adjustablebagrider.com/shop-all/adjustable-grip
Technically, I can still add a couple of weights up front and make the 12lbs Open Light limit.
The next match, of course, is organized by Competition Dynamics:
http://competition-dynamics.com/burris-optics-team-challenge-2025/
It combines UKD stages similar to NRL Hunter with some hiking and a couple of assault stages. The assault stages are better described as "Zak Smith mindfuck" where the organizers of the tournament are looking for creative ways to mess with you.
The assault stages require both a rifle and a handgun, so I have my Gen5 Glock set up with a red dot sight and suppressor for that.
If you happen to be anywhere near Douglas, WY, swing by. It is a very entertaining match.
I have just under three weeks to get everything set up, sighted in and verified, which is plenty of time.
I'll be shooting Hornady's 147gr factory ammo. My teammate will have a 6.5CM BoomBox shooting the same ammo.
The match is going to be a blast. Miserable and frustrating, but still a blast.
